Polar Rush Obstacle Race: Race Recap!

I officially tackled my first obstacle race today and it was so much fun!  Ever since obstacle races have come around I thought it would be something my family and I would enjoy and we did!  We took part in the inaugural Polar Rush obstacle race not too far from our home!

This race boasted 12 obstacles over a 5km course and it was no walk in the park!  It was an untimed, fun event and it sure lived up to the hype.

There were a variety of different obstacles including 2 walls, a snow cave, web crawl, cargo net climb and a rope climb up a hill.  We spent a good amount of the race running through the forest so there were many hills and cliffs to climb and descend.

My favourite obstacles were the crazy carpet ride and snow tube ride down two of the hills at the ski resort.

Most importantly the race was a fundraiser for Sick Kid’s Hospital.  The weather could have been better but we had a great time trying something new.

This race was the first of its kind in Southern Ontario and I am happy I could be a part of it.  I had a fantastic day with family and got a killer workout!  Plus the toque was totally worth it!

Have you ever participated in an obstacle race?  How was it?
